46: "Don’t be Precious About Your Work" with Lily Herman, Writer, Editor, & Digital Strategist

By the age of three, Lily Herman was certain about one thing: she wanted to do and be all the things. Fast-forward to today and she’s basically achieved her toddler dreams. Lily is a contributing editor at Refinery29 covering news and politics, the founder of Rogue Sunday, a digital strategy and marketing firm, and the creator of Get Her Elected, a network of over 2,100 people offering their skills pro bono to progressive women candidates running for U.S. office. Oh, and she also happens to be my favorite person to follow on Twitter

On this episode, Lily shares how she chooses what to work on next (whatever sounds interesting and gives her new skills), how she maintains a thick skin when her work is critiqued or a project fails (by removing her ego from the equation), and how she keeps the Twitter trolls from bringing her down (regular breaks and not being afraid to block people.)
